Hi,
just a quick ME TOO:

I've the 'same' problem on Debian/Testing with an AVM B1 PCMCIA.
My impression is that as soon as the throughput reaches the maximum
of an idsn line the complete laptop (or only X server!?) freezes -->
switch power off :(
I didn't had/have time to investiagate and /var/log/*
contains nothing.

kernel 2.6.7 (and 2.6.6) + bluetooth patches
pppdcapiplugin_3.3.0.20040704-0.3

I don't think that's a kernel problem because both 2.6.7 and 2.6.6 (with
bluetooth mh patches) worked for quite some time.
Roughly 4 week ago BT connection to a Bluefritz AVM X got unreliably
(lost and reconnected the USB device every some secconds). When I
then tried to reactivate my old B1 PCMCIA I always got freezes for
scp and/or download of big webpages.

To me vi is Zen. To use vi is to practice zen. Every command is
a koan. Profound to the user, unintelligible to the uninitiated.
You discover truth everytime you use it.
