linux-avmb1: AVM C2 / Debian Etch 64 Bit / grundlegende ISDN-Konfiguration ?

Hallo Liste,
ich möchte eine Applikation (odette-ftp; Spezialität aus der
Automobilindustrie) über ISDN betreiben. 

Mein System: 
 - HP Proliant DL 360 mit 2 x Intel Xeon 3.4 GHz; 2G RAM
 - AVM C2 ISDN-Karte
 - Debian Etch (Kernel 2.6.18-5-amd64; nur main repository)  auf
aktuellstem Stand, frisch
installiert out-of-the-box; allerdings mit amd64 kernel (wenn ich mich
recht erinnere gab's auf der netinstall-cd keine Auswahl für ia64)
 - c2.bin von ftp.in-berlin.de/pub/capi4linux/firmware/c2/3-11-06/
downgeloadet und in capi.conf eingetragen
 - isdn.conf nach bestem Wissen vervollständigt

Nach booten noch "modprobe isdn" gemacht. Meiner Meinung nach ist die
Karte vom Kernel korrekt erkannt, passende Module geladen, und die
capi-Software hat die Karte auch korrekt erkannt:

 Versuche ich nun, über die ISDN-Leitung was zu verschicken passiert:

B-channel removed by signalling protocol)
  Reason-B3         : 0000 No additional information

Der gleiche Fehler 3301 wird dann auch in meiner Applikation angezeigt,
wenn ich aus der was verschicken will.

Muß ich noch irgendwas konfigurieren?

Wie kann ich das grundlegende funktionieren der ISDN-Leitung überprüfen?
Geht das so wie ich es versuche (mit capifax)? Nach meiner Theorie müßte
beim Empfänger mindestens das Telefon klingeln, wenn da grundlegend
alles ok ist - stimmt das?

Wenn ich die Karte im P2P-Modus hochfahre (capi.conf umkonfiguriert
und /etc/init.d/capiutils stop/start) geht an der ISDN-Abschlußdose eine
grüne LED an (und bleibt solange an, wie die capi bzw. die Karte
gestartet ist) - es passiert also was, von daher müßte auch das Kabel ok
sein. Die LED geht auch an (und nach auflegen wieder aus), wenn ich von
außen die ISDN-Nummer anrufe. Betreibe ich die Karte im
Point-to-multipoint, geht die LED nur an, wenn ich von außen anrufe. 

Wie kann ich prüfen, ob die ISDN-Konfiguration grundlegend
funktionsfähig ist; bzw. was kann die Ursache von "3301 Protocol error
layer 1" sein?
