der rauchfreie Hackerspace AfRA[0] bietet jeden 2. und 4. Freitag im
Monat ab 20h eine Plattform für Vorträge. Dies sind die nächsten Themen:

Fr, 08.06.18, 20:00: Wie eine App in F-Droid kommt (Marcus Hoffmann)
F-Droid ist ein installierbarer Katalog von Freien und Open-Source-
Software-Anwendungen für Android. In diesem Vortrag wird der Prozess,
wie eine App in das F-Droid-Repository kommt, behandelt. Es werden der
"Request for Packaging"-Workflow, das F-Droid-Metadatenformat und das
Testen von Builds mit den fdroidserver-Werkzeugen vorgestellt. Die
Schritte, wie eine App serverseitig verarbeitet und schließlich in einem
neuen Repository-Index veröffentlicht wird, welcher dann von Clients
abgerufen werden kann, werden besprochen. Hierbei werden sowohl der
Mitwirkungsprozess beim Paketieren einer App, als auch die technischen
Details des Bauens einer App, der dahintersteckenden Infrastruktur und
der Sicherheitsarchitektur um F-Droid betrachtet.

Fr, 22.06.18, 20:00: Hacking Disaster – mit Krisenintervention den 
Kapitalismus hacken (Verena Lauble) 
Arbeiten im humanitären Bereich heißt oft reagieren. Naturkatastrophen
kann man nicht vorhersehen. Krisen und Konflikte sind hoch dynamisch und
verändern sich stetig. Es benötigt neue Ideen und Innovationen, um
diesen Herausforderungen zu begegnen. CADUS will im Crisis Response
Makerspace – Europas erstem Makerspace, in dem sich alles um humanitäre
Hilfe dreht – Lösungen für genau diese Herausforderungen entwickeln. Die
Produkte, die hier entstehen, sollen nicht nur großen humanitären
Organisationen, sondern vor allem auch kleinen und lokalen NGOs zur
Verfügung stehen. Sie sollen Open Source und nachbaubar sein. Nur so
können möglichste viele kleine NGOs und betroffene Communities davon
profitieren. In dem Vortrag wollen wir euch verschiedene innovative
Ideen vorstellen, das klassische humanitäre System zu hacken.

Die Vorträge finden statt in den neuen Räumen der AfRA in der
Margaretenstraße 30, nahe S+U Lichtenberg (S5, S7, S75, U5). Der

space AfRA[0] offers a platform for lectures. These are the next topics:

Fr, 08.06.18, 20:00: How an app gets into F-Droid (Marcus Hoffmann)
F-Droid is an installable catalogue of FOSS (Free and Open Source
Software) applications for the Android platform. In this talk we'll
cover the process of how an app gets into the F-Droid repository. This
includes looking at the "Request for Packaging" workflow, the F-Droid
metadata format and testing builds with the fdroidserver tools. We'll
then walk through the steps how the app is processed server-side and
finally published into a new repository index which can be fetched from
the client. This will look both into the contribution process involved
in packaging an app as well as the technical aspects of how an app is
build, the infrastructure behind it and the security architecture around
F-Droid.

Fr, 22.06.18, 20:00: Hacking Disaster – Hacking capitalism with crisis 
intervention (Verena Lauble)
CADUS is a charitable and independent humanitarian aid organisation. In
their Crisis Response Makerspace they develop new ideas and innovations
to face the challenges of crises and conflicts. The resulting products 
are Open Source so that small NGOs and affected communities can recreate
them. In this talk different innovative ideas how to hack the 
established humanitarian system will be presented.

The lectures take place in the new rooms of AfRA at Margaretenstraße 30,
near S+U Lichtenberg (S5, S7, S75, U5). Entry is free, as always. You
