Erstens kannst Du alles was mit SSI gemacht wird auch mit php
machen, und sollte auch nicht so schwer sein!

Oder es gibt noch den XBITHACK, damit kannst Du sagen
das alle Dateien die das X-Bit fuer den User gesetzt
haben von Server geparsed werden (SSI). Musste
mal in die Apache Doku schauen.
