Hallo Joachim,
leider ist es nicht ganz so einfach, wie Du geschrieben hast. Diese Variante
kannte ich aus RedHat. Ich benutze jetzt Slackware und da sieht /etc/inittab
etwas anders aus. Ich habe auch schon einige RC-Scripts durchsucht und keinen
mich ansprechenden Eintrag zum Thema gefunden.
Ich poste deshalb mal meine /etc/inittab, vielleicht kann jemand was damit
anfangen und mir weiterhelfen.

ich was dazulernen möchte und nicht nur Zeilen einfügen, ohne sie wenigstens
