Sicherlich nicht. Sonst wuerde man auf eXpunge verzichten und es
Neustart nennen.

Aber mal ernsthaft, diese Frage hat nichts mit Linux zu tun. Wenn Du
sowas wissen willst, gehst Du zu http://www.deja.com/home_ps.shtml,
gibst "pine delete attachment" ein, und bekommst haufenweise
Antworten. Oder nerv' gleich die Leute auf comp.mail.pine damit.
Hier zwei Antworten, die sogar durchblicken lassen, dass die Antwort
in der Online-Help von pine steht...

The deletion mark in the atttachment index works only for the purpose
of saving the message to another folder. So it is lost if you simply
exit.

But there is a partial workaround! Just save the message to the SAME
folder in which you are (select with <ctrl>T, INBOX too!) and delete
the original message. When you reopen the folder, you will have only
the message without the attachment (PINE will display something like
``deleted attachment'' in place of the original attachment).

Yes, if you press (V)iew to view the attachments it will give you an
index of the attachments.  You can then highlight which attachment you
do not want to keep and press (D)elete.

As taken from the Pine help menu, this will do the following:

Delete
  Mark the currently selected attachment for Deletion. The delete
  flag only has effect when saving the message to a folder.
  Attachments marked for deletion are exluded from the messsage when
  it is saved. In addition, the delete mark only applies to this Pine
  session.


We use version 4.10 of pine.  So you would have to delete the
attachments and then save them to another folder.  When you are in the
attachment index, press "?" and you can read help on what commands are
available to you there.
