linux-l: Keyboard-Belegung unter X

Noch sowas zum Verzweifeln ...
das Keyboardlayout unter X.

Alles was ich will ist:
- PC-102 Tastatur mit US-Layout
und
- den Umlauten auf ALT-GR ; -> oe
                   ALT-GR ' -> ae
                   ALT-GR [ -> ue
etc.

Wie mache ich das?
Per Magie in /etc/X11/xkb?
per xmodmap? 
und dann wie?

Wenn ich jetzt ALT+'d' bzw. ALT-GR+'d' erhalte ich brav ein 'ä' - wo finde
ich dieses Mapping?

Derzeit sagt XF86Config (und funktioniert soweit prima)
	Section "InputDevice"
	   Identifier  "Keyboard1"
	   Driver "keyboard"
	   Option "Protocol"        "Standard"
	   Option "XkbRules"        "xfree86"
	   Option "XkbModel"        "pc102"
	   Option "XkbLayout"       "us"
	EndSection

... und wie bringe ich X bei, dass es die locale 'en_US.ISO-8859-15'
akzeptiert?
