Wenn Du - in aller Unbescheidenheit- meine Mails/Postings mit anderen
vergleichst, wirst Du feststellen, dass einfach /alles/ stimmt:

* Umbrüche werden beim Quoten korrigiert
* Signaturen werden abgetrennt
* Subjectwechsel mit M-p
* (Was: altes subject) wird automatisch entfernt
* hirntote Dinge werden schon bei der Anzeige gelöscht (Werbebanner von
  yahoo!, egroups und anderen, doppelte Leerzeilen, HTML
* adaptives Scoring macht auch high volume Listen binnen kürzester Zeit
  lesbar

Und noch etliches mehr.

Auf der Verlustseite stehen ziemlich klar Emacs[1] und damit Lisp und
die damit verbundenen Geschwindigkeitseinbußen. 5000 news items mit slrn
dauern ein paar Sekunden mit slrn oder tin (selbst mit scoring), Gnus
braucht dafür bei mir 3 Minuten. Anschließend jedoch sehe ich auch nur
noch das, was ich wirklich sehen will, und das gleicht - zumindest für
mich - diesen Zeitverlust mehr als aus.

Ummmm... und XEmacs gibt es jetzt auch mit GTK und das sieht schon fast
wieder sexy aus ;-)
