linux-l: Partitionierungsproblem

Habe meine 4GB Laptop-Platte wie folgt mit Yast1 partitioniert, um Win98
und SuSE 6.3 verwenden zu können: 

/dev/hda1    12M    Linux native     primäre Partition
/dev/hda2  1600M    Extended         erweiterte Partition
/dev/hda3   400M    W95 Fat16        primäre Partition
/dev/hda4  2000M    W95 Fat16        primäre Partition
/dev/hda5   128M    Linux swap       logische Partition
/dev/hda6  1000M    Linux native     logische Partition
/dev/hda7   440M    Linux native     logische Partition

Anschließend artig LiLo konfiguriert, mit fdisk die beiden Windows
Partitionen nachformatiert und die Betriebssysteme installiert.
Eigenartigerweise, und das ist nun das Problem, erscheint im
Windows-Explorer ein drittes Laufwerk (also c:, d: und e: ). Alle drei
sind unter Win98 unabhängig
voneinander beschreib- und formatierbar. Beide haben die identische Größe
von
400MB. Fdisk zeigt aber nur zwei Laufwerke (c: und d:) an.
Was soll der Quatsch und warum löst sich der Inhalt des Laufwerk d: unter
Windows in einem etwa 6-Wochenabstand in Wohlgefallen auf? Nicht einmal
scandisk kann noch etwas retten?
