linux-l: Installation 7.1

Hallo!
Ich habe da ein Problem mit einer etwas spezielleren Installation von SuSE
7.1. Ich will eine Testinstallation auf einem 4,7 GB DVD-RAM Medium
ausführen. Nur bietet mir die Installationsroutine das Laufwerk nicht an.
Es läuft bei mir mit ID 0:6:0 an einem Adaptec 2940 AU und wird durch das
geladene SCSI Modul auch ganz normal erkannt. Mit meinem festinstallierten
System (SuSE 6.4) habe ich das Medium auch als ext2fs formatiert. Trotzdem
kann ich es nicht als root fs auswählen. Weiß jemand, wie man das
hinzaubern kann?
