Also, nachdem ich nun in /etc/locale.gen de_DE... auskommentiert habe,
erhalte ich folgendes Ergebnis des locale-gen - Durchlaufs:

de_DE.ISO-8859-1...character map `ISO-8859-1' is not ASCII compatible,
locale not ISO C compliant
..
..
..
/usr/share/i18n/locales/de_DE:187: LC_TELEPHONE: unknown character in field
`tel_int_fmt'
/usr/share/i18n/locales/de_DE:188: LC_TELEPHONE: unknown character in field
`tel_dom_fmt'
/usr/share/i18n/locales/de_DE:189: LC_TELEPHONE: unknown character in field
`int_select'
/usr/share/i18n/locales/de_DE:190: LC_TELEPHONE: unknown character in field
`int_prefix'
<SP> character not in class `space'
not all characters used in `outdigit' are available in the charmap
LC_NUMERIC: value for field `decimal_point' must not be the empty string
LC_MONETARY: value of field `int_curr_symbol' has wrong length
LC_MONETARY: value for field `mon_decimal_point' must not be the empty
string
LC_MESSAGES: value for field `yesexpr' must not be an empty string
LC_MESSAGES: value for field `noexpr' must not be an empty string
LC_NAME: field `name_fmt' must not be empty
LC_ADDRESS: field `postal_fmt' must not be empty

LC_ADDRESS: `country_ab3' value does not match `country_num' value
LC_TELEPHONE: field `tel_int_fmt' must not be empty
 done

Mike
