[linux-l] SuSE 9.3 ohne Sound

beides: auf dem Desktop (IBM NetVista) habe ich es per Neuinstallation
gemacht, auf meinem IBM Thinkpad T41 per Update. Ergebnis ist beidesmal identisch.

/var/log/syslog existiert nicht, und /var/log/messages ist groß... Wonach
sollte ich filtern?

Auf die "Schnelle" (naja, schnell...) ist mir aufgefallen:

alsactl: resmgr: unable to connect to resmgrd: Connection refused

Die Strings intel-8x0 und 810_audio zeigten keine Auffälligkeiten.

Für mich ist es das erste mal, daß ein Standard-Gerät nicht auf Anhieb unter
SuSE funktioniert. Probleme hatte ich bisher eher bei der Suche nach
RPM-Paketen für SuSE. Auch bei SuSE 9.2 funktionierte bei beiden Rechner der
Sound problemlos. Das legt den Verdacht nahe, daß es relativ einfach zu
beheben sein sollte. Wenn man nur weiß, wie... ;-)
