Es sollten Programmen geben, die die Arbeit übernehmen und auch sagen, ob es
möglich ist oder nicht. Vielleicht schon:

p   parted                                     - The GNU Parted disk partition resizing program      
p   parted-doc                                 - The GNU Parted disk partition resizing program docum
p   qtparted                                   - A parted frontend using QT
