Die Aenderungen sollwn markiert werden, aus nachvollziehbarem logistischen 
Grunde.

Da steht nichts von nicht erlaubten Modifikationen oder Restriktionen im 
Weiterverbreiten.

Zumindest der Teil duerfte danach falsch sein.

"The license of PINE is not a free software license because it mostly 
prohibits the distribution of modified versions."

Zum anderen Punkt:

"It also restricts the media that can be used for selling copies" hier 
bei pine:

"Redistribution of this release is permitted as follows, or by mutual 
agreement:
(a) In free-of-charge or at-cost distributions by non-profit concerns;
(b) In free-of-charge distributions by for-profit concerns;
(c) Inclusion in a CD-ROM collection of free-of-charge, shareware, or 
non-proprietary software for which a fee may be charged for the packaged 
distribution."

Danach darfst Du die gern in Debian haben, aber Microsoft darf es nicht 
auf seiner Vista-DVD vertreiben.

Die Begruendung bei der FSF, den Vertrieb von freier Software in 
kostenpflichtiger Software zu foerdern:

"Distributing free software is an opportunity to raise funds for 
development. Don't waste it!"

trifft fuer Pine nicht zu, da sie, wie schon geschrieben, mit Mitteln des 
amerikanischen Steuerzahlers entstanden ist, daher schon "bezahlt".

Das mag der FSF nicht gefallen, aber weil sie etwas als "unfrei" 
deklariert, ist sie es trotzdem nicht, da sie kein Monopol auf die 
Definition hat.

GPL ist zum Beispiel unfrei in dem Sinne, dass sie es mir nivjt gestattet, 
die Software zu modifizieren und kommerziell zu vertreiben, ohne die 
Aenderungen offenzulegen.

Anyway, die PINE-Lizenz entspricht allen Bedingungen der FSF-Definition 
von Freiheit:
