klingt ja schon mal vielversprechend, und ich habe sogar auch ein
rpm-Paket gefunden, aber das will nicht so recht:

> Konfliktlösung:
> ( ) timeout-1.5-alt2.x86_64 nicht installieren

alternativ:

>         /etc/rc.d/init.d is needed by timeoutd-1.5-alt1.x86_64
