linux-l: Bild mit uuencode über elm

Ich probiere schon einige Zeit daran herum, wie ich mit elm ein image (gif o.ä.)verschicke.
Es hat schon mal geklappt......
Also, es klappte eigentlich immer, dann habe ich es lange nicht gemacht, jetzt
geht es nicht mehr. grrrrrr
also im vi :! uuencode pfad/image.gif image.gif > xx
           :r xx
sieht alles in Ordnung aus, aber es wird nicht rausgeschickt, da kann ich
machen was ich will.....
uustat -a zeigt es wie folgt an ...
