Du hast recht.

Ich habe gestern, im update Fieber, rebooten muessen.

Das tail -f  setzte ich in die bootmisc (rcS Prio 55 bei debian) und *ES
GING WIEDER NICHT MEHR*.

Daraufhin habe ich das ding rausgenommen neu gebootet und manuell tail -f
gestartet.
Mit einem Mal hielt er sich an die Terminal-groesse.
Das veraendern der syslog.conf zwecks debugoutput auf der console + killHUP
zeigte, dass das auch mit syslog geht.

Ich hab noch nicht rausgefunden was denn zuvor getan werden muss, in jedem
Fall boote ich so den Rechner nicht mehr so gerne ;-)
