Als root solltest Du das ueberhaupt nicht aufrufen, sondern nur
von Deinem ~

Mach dort mal im xterm
    echo $DISPLAY
Da muesste rauskommen.
:0.0                          

Und dann funktioniert auch der Aufruf "appliware"
