Dann installier' doch einfach auf allen Kisten das einfache "ssh"-Paket.
Da wird Dich nichts und niemand warnen, und das ist (je nachdem, wie alt
Dein Debian-Abzug ist...) der alte ssh-1.2 oder OpenSSH - beides gut.

Äm, ja, Geschichte ist gefragt... Ich *meine*, daß OpenSSH ein Ableger
von ssh-1.2 gewesen ist... *such* Ah, in der man page steht genaueres:

AUTHOR
     OpenSSH is a derivative of the original (free) ssh 1.2.12 release by Tatu
     Ylonen, but with bugs removed and newer features re-added.  Rapidly after
     the 1.2.12 release, newer versions of the original ssh bore successively
     more restrictive licenses, and thus demand for a free version was born.

     This version of OpenSSH

     o   has all components of a restrictive nature (i.e., patents) directly
         removed from the source code; any licensed or patented components are

         chosen from external libraries.

     o   has been updated to support SSH protocol 1.5 and 2, making it compat-
         ible with all other SSH clients and servers.
