Hallo Leute,

wir haben hier in der Uni jetzt ein Java-Paket ins Netz gehängt.
Was man damit alles machen kann, könnt Ihr unten lesen
(in Englisch - ich hoffe das ist kein Problem ;-) ). Ich finde es
selber ziemlich gut. Vielleicht ist es ja für den einen oder
anderen interessant!? Ansonsten freuen wir uns auch, wenn ihr das
Programm mal so richtig auf Herz und Nieren testet und uns dann
eine Fehlerliste zumailt - dann haben wir hier endlich mal wieder
was zu tun außer Kaffeekochen ;-) .

JavaView is 3d geometry viewer and numerical software
library written in Java. It allows to include 3D geometries
in any HTML document, and to present interactive numerical
experiments on the internet. JavaView also runs from a Unix
or Dos command prompt and can be used as 3D viewer of other
programs like Mathematica.

JavaView has been selected by the DFG Project "Dissertation Online"
to produce a reference multimedia dissertation in mathematics.

The viewer of JavaView supports most interaction features
of an advanced 3D viewer.
For example,
   Rotation, Translation, Zoom, Camera Control, Picking
   Inspection of Geometries and Material Properties
   Selective Display of Vertices, Edges, Faces, Vector Fields
   Animation, Auto Rotate, Keyframes
   Import and Export of Geometries in Multiple Data Formats
   PostScript PS+EPS, and image file GIF, PPM Export
   Mathematica Graphics may be viewed and animated with JavaView

Additionally, JavaView is a class library for advanced numerics
in differential geometry and tools from finite element numerics.
