linux-l: PS/2 Maus, XFree86Setup

Salut,

ganz frisch bin ich Debian Newbie und hin und weg.
Affenscharf. Viel toller als Linux 7.0 ([x] Redhat      [x] SuSE).

Seriously: Habe Problem, meiner Maus X beizubringen:
Ich habe eine PS/2 Maus (Genius Netmouse Pro).
Wenn ich ( mit XFree86Setup) <PS/2> anklicke
und bestätige, fängt X an zu tillen.
Voreingestellt ist <Microsoft> und das geht irgendwie,
ich will aber meine alte Konfiguration mit PS/2 wiederhaben
(-> Markieren und Einfügen in xconsole, scrollen).

Wieso darf ich nicht PS/2 nehmen? Ist gpm falsch konfiguriert?
Hat xfs was damit zutun?

Meine alte Konfiguration war so in etwa :

# /etc/X11/XF86Config
...
Section "Pointer"			
	Protocol	"IMPS/2"
	Device		"/dev/mouse"
	Buttons 	3
	ZAxisMapping	4 5
EndSection
...			

Wenn ich versuche, manuell oder mit XFree86Setup was anderes
als <Microsoft> einzustellen, hängt die Maus.
Wer weiß Rat?
