Akamai schaltet ihre Linuxrechner als Cache vor den/die Microsoft-Server.
Es wird aber trotzdem an den anfragenden Client die ID des Webservers
ausgeliefert (der IIS), aber das Betriebssystem der cachenden Server ist
Linux, vermutlich nicht aber das Betriebssystem auf den MS-Servern...

Durch ein DNS-Round-Robin erreichen sie ausserdem noch ein load balancing.
