Nochmals mod_perl

Vor ca. 2 Monaten gab's schon mal die Frage nach Erfahrungen "mod_perl"
mit wenigen Antworten. Gibt es inzwischen mehr Erfahrung?

Ich habe mod_perl und den zugehoerigen Apache erfolgreich bauen koennen,
aber sobald ich die entsprechende Konfiguration in httpd.conf fuer die
eigentliche CGIs mache und den Apache starten will, bekomme ich folgende
Fehlermeldung:

  % [Wed Nov 26 09:01:10 1997] Can't load
  './perl5/lib/sun4-solaris/5.00403/auto/IO/IO.so' for module IO: ld.so.1:
  ./httpd: fatal: relocation error: symbol not found: main: referenced in

Ein "make test" im perl5-Source-Verzeichnis laeuft fehlerfrei!

Hat jemand Hinweise?
