linux-l: Kann keine Mails vom Email-server holen

Ich habe einen neuen internen Mail-server aufgesetzt - mit der dem neuersten Redhat 6.0.
Also auch eine aktuellere Sendmail-version.
Wenn ich versuche über POP3 mails von einem externen Rechner abzuholen kommt folgende Meldung:

(win- outlook Express)
Bei der Verbindung zum Server ist ein Fehler aufgetreten. Konto: 'ns.intern.globesoft.at (1)', Server: 'ns.intern.globesoft.at', Protokoll: POP3, Anschluss: 110, Secure(SSL): Nein, Socketfehler: 10061, Fehlernummer: 0x800CCC0E

kann das an der Sendmail-konfiguration liegen?
Ich konnte in keinen der Logfiles eine Meldung finden die mir weiter helfen konnte
